Colour has always been very important to me. It affects my mood and emotions. Even as a child, I was drawn to colour - a bit like a moth is to light! After moving to East Africa as a young adult, I increasingly became aware of the power of colour and its importance to me. I saw intense and vibrant colours in everything. The place was alive and buzzing in glorious sunshine. It is from these memories that I draw inspiration to create the colourful oil paintings that I do today.”
